Sector 9 Joel Tudor Longboard Review
Sector 9 Joel Tudor Longboard
The platinum series Joel Tudor longboard has been carried over in the sector nine longboard line for several years now. It is a great cruiser that is fast and smooth. If you're looking for a nice ride and easy to handle board the joel tudor is the perfect longboard for you. It was designed with cruising in mind. The bottom center of the board is equipped with a rolling tray so you can take a break on long trips and enjoy the cruise.
The recommended set up for the joel tudor would be 9" gullwing charger trucks for a fast smooth ride with a smooth turn. I would put some 70mm wheels on the joel tudor as the charger trucks will allow for a 70mm wheel which will allow for more speed and a smoother ride. Also some sector 9 platinum abec 9 bearings are a great choice for this board. However if you are looking to save a little just put some bones reds bearings in the wheels and it will do just fine.

Sector 9 Mainland Longboard
A new longboard in the sector 9 cosmic series is the Mainland. The mainland is made from thin layers of maple wood sandwiched together with layers of fiber glass for strength and it also adds lots of flex for a surf style ride. The fiberglass layers in the sector 9 mainland create very smooth flowing turns in which you can pump in and out of to keep your momentum. The mainland is 38" long which is a mid sized longboard perfect for cruising the streets in style.
The sector 9 mainland longboard can be set up several different ways but we will recommend a few that are for the best performance in which you can get the most out of the board. A great performing truck at a low cost is the gullwing mission truck. The missions are smooth and can turn well for a standard skateboard truck. If you are looking for better turning ability for a little extra cost check out the gullwing charger, randal, or paris trucks, which are all down-hill or reverse kingpin trucks that allow for great turning ability.
The wheels that you will want to put on the mainland can be anything in 64mm-70mm in size. You really don't need anything to special on the mainland as far as wheels go as it truely is just a cruiser style board. And last is the bearings. A good smooth bearing that will spin fast for a great price are the bones reds bearings. The best thing about bones bearings is you can pop off the inside cover and clean them to allow them to last a long time.

Sector 9 Carbonite Longboard
Sector 9 Carbonite Longboard Complete
This year sector 9 came out with there first ever drop through top mounted carbon fiber longboard. Very similar to the 9-star or sunset drop through boards except it has the nice smooth flex from the carbon fiber layers which also makes the board extra light weight. The sector 9 carbonite is the most tech, high performance longboard sector nine has made to date. It is 41" long and 9.25" wide which creates a smooth ride, smooth turns, and amazing feel. The flex allows for a nice pump in and out of turns so you don't even need to push. The carbonites low center of gravity also makes it super stable.
The sector 9 carbonite longboard is the porsche of the longboard world. It is sleek, light, fast, and manuverable. If you're going to spring for the carbonite make sure to set it up with the correct components. It needs gullwing charger trucks or similar like the paris 180mm trucks. I would set it up with 69mm, 72mm, or 74mm sector 9 wheels as they all have a nice wide surface area for extra grip to allow for nice smooth hard carving turns. The bearings can be just a simple abec 5 or similar if you aren't too hard core of a rider. But if you want the ultimate set up use the sector 9 race bearings.
Sector 9 Bullet Longboard
The newest version in the sector 9 platinum series of longboards is the sector 9 bullet. Some might remember a similar styled board called the kommi from years past. Well the bullet is the new improved version of that longboard. The sector 9 bullet comes in 2 different colors; red and yellow. It is a drop through flushmount board which allows for a low center of gravity. It is great for cruising, carving, and down hill styles of riding. They lengthened this board a little and gave it a little more width for extra stability and smoother turns.
The sector 9 bullet longboard should be set up with some gullwing charger 10" trucks for ultimate performance and smooth carving turns. I would put some sector 9 cosmic bearings on this board for extra speed and smooth rolling wheels. Speaking of wheels the bullet should be equipped with some nice smooth riding 70mm sector 9 wheels to help set the graphic off and give it an amazing ride.

The sector 9 cosmic series longboards are very popular. In fact probably the most popular longboards right after the bamboo series of sector 9 longboards. The sector 9 cosmic weave is probably the most popular longboard in the series right allow with the sector 9 bintang. They are the exact same shape and size at 38-inches long and 8.5-inches wide. They have a mid ranged wheelbase which creates super smooth turns. The fiber-glass deck helps for making tighter turns as you can throw you weight into the board which makes the trucks turn even sharper. The length of the deck makes for a nice stable ride and is long enough to allow you get some nice speed when cruising on the streets. I wouldn't recommend the cosmic weave for bombing any hills as it isn't built for that type of riding but it is an amazing cruiser.

I wouldn't go any larger than 70mm on the cosmic weave longboard as you can get wheel bite if you get too large of wheels. For extra speed get some good abec 7 or higher rated bearings and you will be flying throw the streets on the sector 9 cosmic weave rider.

It is a great board for cruising around town or campus and is small enough that you can strap it to your back pack if needed. The graphic on the bottom of the cosmic sun is insane! If you're into abstract art this longboard is for you. The sector 9 cosmic series longboards are all surf inspired longboards. They all are made with fiber-glass layers which allow them to be light weight and give the boards that nice popular flex that so many people are after. The flex also makes for smooth cruising turns like you're out on the water.
